Open Question: How to deal with an arrogant person?

got any ideas how to deal with a very arrrogant person (the person has some leverage over me, i wont say wat but i wouldnt want them to say it when they get pissed off at me after i do sumfin to upset them, it is not something major but it lies in one of these categories : religion, race, body image, sexual orientation, but its in one of those) its not a secret (ok remove sexual orientation its out of the picture, im straight) its one of those other categories and i dont want him to tease me or watever in public coz he likes public attention its not a secret, everyone knows but i dont want him to start makin fun or anythin an example is if u r white or black or chinese and ppl tease u for it
