Open Question: Why are the Obama supporters pretending like he never said “typical white person”?

Obama told Cataldi that "The point I was making was not that my grandmother harbors any racial animosity, but that she is a typical white person. If she sees somebody on the street that she doesn't know (pause) there's a reaction in her that doesn't go away and it comes out in the wrong way." And yes it is offensive to me, my heritage is multiracial and I do not care for racial stereotyping. I AM MULTI RACIAL, I UNDERSTAND FULLY WELL, DOESN'T EXCUSE WHAT HE DID AT ALL! You Obama supporters do not make an ounce of sense, I am multiracial what he did was inexcusable, he tried to divide people by race, and he should have shown more respect to the woman who raised him.
