Open Question: I have a question about the Nintendo DS?

Are there games on the Nintendo DS which are like Grand Theft Auto San Andreas type games? I really want a Nintendo DS but most of the games I like are like Grand Theft Auto San Andreas type. Also if there are any could you list me some? Also, can you recomend me some games on the Nintendo DS. I like Racing, GTA San Andreas type, and yeah lol. Also other than Mario Kart what other racing games are there? Thanks. The thing is that the PSP is on the pricey side so I want a DS.
