Open Question: Falling in love outside of my race?

I am a 33 year old white male and have been in about 3 serious relationships in my life. Although they were serious relationships, I never felt any of them were someone I would want to spend the rest of my life with. I met Alicia about 2 months ago working at a restaurant I eat at about once a week. She has not left my mind since. I go to bed and wake up thinking about her. There is something about her that I can not put into words. I have spoke to her a couple times and within that short time I can see her as someone I could promise my love to forever. Maybe there is love at first sight. Alicia is African American. I was raised in a semi racist home. But none of that means anything to me now. That is just 33 years of wasted energy on my part. As far as I am concerned they wouldn't have to like her. Alicia is not seeing anyone. I want to ask her out. My question is how would a typical African American female react to being asked out by a white male?
