Open Question: (teenage guys) how can I become dateable (or is it hopeless)?

I am not a troll...I just need answers..and I don't mean to offend anyone (besides myself) I'm 17 and in 5 weeks or so I'm going to be a senior I'd really like to start dating but I don't think I'm good enough to date I'm black by the way which may have something to do with it I'm also native american and english I know I shouldn't blame it on race but maybe that's why I'm just very confused eventhough my friends aren't black and they don't have boyfriends either I have to admit it could be because sometimes when I leave for school I don't spend that much time getting ready (as much as I should) like putting on makeup or I just put my hair up. But the truth is i don't really care that much. I mean I know I need to become more neat in my appearance but not dressing up like glamazon everyday. last year I tried that but it's not really me....I really want simple clothing like tommy hilfiger, ralph lauren, lacoste because it doesn't look so overdone Alot of the girls at my school wear a bunch of different patterns together and wear tons of makeup but it just looks like too much to me. I notice I get more guy attention when I barely or don't wear makeup which I'd prefer anyways. do you think I need to fix myself up more (but just wear classier clothing like RL) or just not bother?
