Open Question: Should a Presidential candidate get “special” treatment if he or she is a minority candidate?

Posted by carposter  Published in News
Should a Presidential candidate who is a minority get special treatment because of their race or color or religion? I am thinking that if any candidate has corrupt friends, friends who preach hate against others, or any other item of interest that helps the general public understand the character or lack of character should answer these questions, not hide behind them. What do you think? Should tough questions about real character issues be set aside or should ANY candidate, no matter their religion, culture, race or _____ ? I say NO, but what do you think?
