Open Question: help with imovie ?

i want to make a movie i have an i mac and i dont know anything about making a movie on here i want pictures and some clips of horse racing in it with music. i know how to add the music on it but i dont know how to add pictures or moving clips. soo plz plz plz help me i really want to make a video and post it on youtube but i have no idea how to. THANKS EVERY ONE!
