Open Question: What exactly makes Barack Obama more liberal than Hillary Clinton?

I think Obama is more conservative than Clinton. For example, Obama wants to make Health Insurance more affordable, while Clinton wants to make it mandatory. But I keep seeing people say he is extremely liberal and she is moderate. So, please, enlighten me on differences on issues (not race, religion, or sex) between Obama and Clinton that make Obama more liberal than Clinton? Or, vice versa?
