Open Question: chevy silverado 1500 or chevy cobalt ss?

im looking into getting a new vehicle sumtime in the near future but one thing im having trouble is thinking of whihc one i want id like the cobalt ss for it being fast and a sweet looking car but the truck can get used for alot more stuff.id like both i already have a 93 gmc sierra with 254000 on it.id like to get down to one vehicle but it takes alot of money to keep both of them up and running.i want to get into racing and the way gas is going i could use the truck when i have to and get the cobalt ss but i still want a truck any help.id like a lil v8 or v6 silverado with 2 wheel drive.which one would you choose.
