Open Question: Why are Ron Paul and Mike Gravel still in the presidential race?

Why are Ron Paul and Mike Gravel still in the presidential race for the Republican and Democrat parties? Shouldn't they both have suspended their campaign awhile ago since they are so far behind? Are either expected to try to expect nomination from a third party?
